Meditation
A journey of stillness,
emptiness and clarity.
There is a place within all of us — a space untouched by doubt, fear, or the endless distractions of the outside world. It has always been there, waiting.
In a loud, noisy world that moves so fast, full of distractions we often forget how to get there.
A place of stillness and peace.
Meditation is not about forcing oneself into stillness. It’s not about becoming someone new.
It is about remembering who you have always been.
In meditation you relax, deeply. You soften. And as you watch your thoughts rise and fall like waves in the ocean, you realize something:
You are not your thoughts.
You are not the weight you carry.
You are not your past.
You come back to a place what I call the center of your being. From this center you can choose more easily witch direction you feel you want to take.
And when you tap into this space, something shifts inside your mind. You begin to navigate life differently. You no longer need to react to every situation you find yourself in. The world feels lighter. The mind becomes clearer.
You start to navigate your life in a more aware and conscious way.
In the stillness you find clarity. You find peace.
Meditation is something you can return to no matter where you are in the world.
It’s just you—no substances, tools, or equipment are needed to practice.
During This Moment’s psychedelic Journeys in the Netherlands, we guide and teach you meditation. Learning meditation can also be a way to navigate a psychedelic experience, to let go of things coming up during a trip.
In the meditative state, you can explore yourself in ways that are difficult to access in your ordinary waking state. You may notice aspects of your body, thoughts, and emotions, and see how they influence your reactions to distractions in different ways.
This is a practice you can take home with you, continuing meditation as a tool to return to whenever you feel the need to release tension, quiet your mind, and live with more calm and presence in your daily life.
After a psychedelic experience, many people find that meditation also becomes easier and entering a state of stillness and emptiness.
It feels more free and natural—almost as if some mental layers have been lifted, allowing you to reach your center more quickly.
Meditation doesn’t necessarily have to take a long time. Even just 10 minutes a day can help you balance yourself.
